Vampire musician Michael Glass has attracted the attention of a big- time producer who wants to cut a demo and play some gigs-which means Michael will have to enter the human world. For this, he's been assigned escorts that include both a dangerous immortal as well as Michael's all-too-human friends. And with that mix of personalities, this is going to be a road trip from hell...

Now, What I Thought:

Theres nothing much to really say about this book, The gang and Oliver go on a road trip, which leaves Amelie, Monica and even Myrnin in Morganville.
I did really notice that Claire totally changed from the first book 'til now. You can tell she's transformed from a pushover, geeky, little girl into a strong, smart, women.

Now onto something this book really focused on; Oliver Oliver Oliver.. man, I never liked him AS MUCH as the other characters but I still had some respect because he always had motives, which protected Amelie yet also himself. There was one line in the book that really got me. Oliver said it, "Oliver tells them to be ready in the morning and enjoy the rest of the night while it lasts. At the last moment, Oliver turns and quickly says, "And I am sorry."" ....................... what. Excuse me while my mind is whirling because that was sooooo out of character and I just got 100000000 times more respect for him.
I know its pretty simple, but when you read all the books up to this one, you think of Oliver as a cunning, smart, mean kind of vampire, always business and when its fun, he is ruthless right? well that line, and the way he even apologized when he didn't have to, really makes you think twice about Oliver. Such an amazing job to Rachel Caine for mind f***** me and making me realize an important lesson.
