The time has come for one winner to be crowned.

When she was chosen to compete in the Selection, America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown—or to Prince Maxon's heart. But as the end of the competition approaches, and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, America realizes just how much she stands to lose—and how hard she'll have to fight for the future she wants.

Now, What I Thought:
Lets be real guys, we all knew who would win the competition and Maxon's heart from the beginning of book 1, The Selection. Unfortunately this series didn't have the potential to pull out something crazy like America not winning. Honestly towards the end, I actually started liking Celeste better than most of the main characters. She was the only one with a convincing personality. There is a shock at the end and something does happen that was quite sad. So stay tuned for that!

SO, turns out this isn't the end for America and Maxon and the wonderful world of Illéa. Cass is continuing the series but... dun dun dun... through Princess Eadyln, Maxon and America's very own daughter -insert shocked face-LOL I guess it's too late to say spoiler, considering now we know who wins the competition, again, not much a surprise anyways. Nonetheless, this novel is the end of America and Maxon's young and reckless journey of love and finding themselves. The story may continue on and they may be reoccurring in the next novels but The One is the last of young America's point of view and 3 book long debate on who she truly loves.

As much as I joke about the faults in this book, it was a pleasure and just so addicting to read with all the drama. Will I continue on to the next books? Yes, because again, MORE DRAMA with mini-America. Yay!!
